Achness Shetland Blend DK

From our 2024 wool-clip, this beautifully wool-spun bouncy yarn is a pale grey with darker flecks. It is undyed and comes from the grey sheep which we keep in our own slaughter-free flock and three neighbouring small flocks. 

The shade is named for the haar (or sea mist) which rolls up the hills inland from the east coast of Scotland - sometimes cloaking everything for days on end.

This is an ideal wool for knitting and weaving, and would make fantastic jumpers, cardigans and hats.

Each clip provides just enough fleece to make a limited amount of yarn and - when it's gone - it's gone!
