This new bouncy soft light-Aran-weight yarn comes from our own slaughter-free flock of Shetland sheep and other small local Shetland flocks.  Spun in Cornwall, for a wool-spun yarn which knits up quickly and easily. It's a mid-grey with flecks and variations. 

I spent the winter wrapped in myths of the Selkie.  About a third of all grey seals in the world live in Scottish waters.  Having been haunted by the singing of these seals at Birsay in Orkney and at Lindisfarne in Northumberland, they are very special indeed.
