Achness Shetland Blend DK

New from our 2024 wool clip, this beautifully soft, squishy and drapey pale yet warm grey wool is a dream to work with. It has been worsted-spun in Yorkshire, giving it a slight shine and softness. 

We've named it Firth, after the grey Firth of Forth that I can see from my workroom window as I wind wool. At the time I was winding, you could not see the firth for the haar. But that's another tale.

This is an ideal wool for knitting and weaving, and would make fantastic shawls, light sweaters and more delicate items.
